When I listened to their new song however I was very impressed. Usually with the tricky second album you find that many bands take on an entirely new direction, leaving a lot of their hardcore fans alienated. However, "Suburban Knights" sticks to the same winning formula of past singles "Cash Machine" and "Living for the weekend" - political (but never preachy) lyrics, singalonga choruses (lots of heeeys!) and music you can dance to. The production of this song does seem a lot more polished than anything they've ever done, even getting a few sneaky violins in at the very end, which can only be a good thing. All in all, this song heralds a welcome return to the Hard-Fi lads, and hopefully their new album "Once upon a time in the west" will not disappoint either.
