The younger Simpson sister is reportedly both preggo and engaged. Ashlee was in New York for a CD signing and was sporting an engagement ring. She may also be carrying the spawn of her fiance, Pete Wentz. Please let this NOT be true.

Pete recently posted a blog online announcing the couples' plans to make something that cannot be illegally downloaded, hinting at a baby.
In the bizarre video message, Ashlee and Pete, who have dated since last summer, also reveal that the "release date" is July 2008, before Ashlee poses with a cushion stuffed under her top.

One thing's for sure about Ashlee Simpson: she knows how to make fun of herself. Having Jessica Simpson for a big sister and an SNL lip-synching scandal will do that to a girl.

This trait serves her well. Take the song featured on the above poster, the Timbaland-produced "Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)." It basically flopped, despite our approval, but it looks like Ashlee will survive and not hide out in Texas under the guise of recording a country album.

Instead, she fixes the problem by picking her nose and releasing a second single. The nose being a figurative one and the single being "Little Miss Obsessive," which premiered yesterday on Chicago's KISS FM DreX Morning Show.

Give it a listen. It's fine, sounds more like her older stuff and will probably be more attractive to radio stations. Maybe now people will be more willing to purchase her album, dropping Apr. 15. Maybe.

Papa Joe told Ashlee to dump Pete Wentz

Ashlee Simpson’s manager-dad Joe is secretly urging his pop star daughter to ditch her boyfriend Pete Wentz, so she can be the star of a new reality dating show.

Joe thinks the programme will help promote Simpson’s second album, Bittersweet World, which is due for release. But the singer would need to end her relationship with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz first, so she can be well and truly single.

A source says, “He wants Ashlee to break up with Pete.” The insider adds of the proposed show, “It will put 14 guys in a house and they will compete to date Ashlee.”
