Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus was out on Friday making her way into a Santa Monica recording studio with her mother, Tish, by her side.

Smiley Miley toted a giant gold leather purse for the outing, but was without her favorite condiment - ketchup. On a recent Tonight Show appearance, the Disney tween mogul “unveiled one of her hidden habits - she likes to drink ketchup right from the bottle.”

“You also drink ketchup, which seems odd,” Leno said to Miley, who was visiting Leno’s program with dad Billy Ray.

“There’s nothing odd about it,” Cyrus smiled. “It’s just good.”

And according to Miley, not only is ketchup delicious, but it’s also good for you. “It’s a liquid technically,” she laughed. “It’s half the calories.”

Cody Linley Talks Miley Cyrus Pool Parties, 'Tomboy' Emily Osment & Ping Pong

Hannah Montana stud Cody Linley, 18, chatted with Mlive.com about Hannah Montana making him a star, Miley Cyrus' pool parties and 'tomboy' Emily Osment. Cody admits, 'being on Hannah Montana has really changed my life.'

Cody was just 16 when he first met Miley at his house. He revealed, 'my mom is an acting coach, and she coached (Cyrus) for the screen test and the call back' for the original casting process.

"When I read with Miley, I liked the character (of Jake, Miley's boyfriend) and the writing. We had chemistry right away. I had no idea the show would be so huge. Everyone is so fun in the cast, it's an awesome set. We hang out off-set a lot too."

This includes Miley Cyrus pool parties where Cody saw little Noah Cyrus wearing a Hannah Montana shirt in the pool.

"I said, 'Why are you wearing your sister on your back? Don't you get enough of her at home?' "She told me she was going to wear Hannah Montana socks so she could walk on Miley's head!"

Cody is also close friends with Emily Osment. He revealed, 'Emily is more of a tomboy (than Miley). There's a ping pong table, and we played every day. She's really good! Sad to say, (Cyrus) is not a ping pong player."

Still, his starring role in the movie Hoot has been his favorite acting experience so far. 'We spent three months at a resort on the beach in Florida, and we all got really close. Brie Larson (his co-star) is one of my best friends.'

Spotted at age 4 by a casting director in Dallas, Cody has been performing since his first job in a Ruby Tuesday's commercial. Splitting time between public school in Dallas and pilot season in Hollywood has kept him grounded.

Cody graduated from high school one semester early, and has since moved to Los Angeles.

Tell us about your last nightmare!

"I had an interesting dream the other night, and Miley Cyrus was in it. I was on a restaurant, but I had to leave because a lot of fans was hunting me. Then Miley comes by in a limo, takes of her sunglasses and says 'Hi! I gotta go, everybody‘s after me!' And then the limo drives of really fast and leaves me."

Do you believe in spirits?

"Yes, I’m absolutely sure there is something else out there. And if it’s not ghosts, I guess it’s angels or something. I remember once when I woke up and all my toothpaste was outside the tube. Maybe someone joked with me, but I got really scared."

Tell us a secret!

"I love to get massage! As an actor I’m always traveling, and it’s hard to get time for myself. Even if I’m not at work I can never be alone since there are fans requesting photos and autographs. But when I get massage I get the possibility to relax and think in peace. Fabulous!"

Do you and your parents get along well?

"Extremely well. I think it’s important to have a good relationship with your parents, since they’ve been trough a lot more than you have, and actually know better. It’s great to have parents that I can talk to about everything."

But can you really do that?

"Sure! The other day for example, I got a bad comment from a fan, but mom and dad made me feel better again. They said that there are 20 nice fans for every mean fan I’ve got, and it helped."

What’s your advice for people that’s afraid to ask their parents for help?

"Just do it! Parents are for helping. But if you really can’t, turn to someone else - a teacher, friend, or another family member. Don’t keep it all inside, tell someone!

Do your parents never embarrass you?

"They are actually really cool, so there has never been any bigger problems. But they are so proud of me that it’s embarrassing how much they 'brag' when they talk to people."

When was the last time you were grounded?

"Two years ago. They took my phone too. That was hard! Magazine: What did you do? Corbin: I came home really late from a party, much later than the time they said. I didn’t mean to, I fell asleep at a friends house."

Are you a rebel deep inside?

"Not at all! I’ve always loved my mom and been a sweet guy."

Miley Cyrus: "I Need More Friends"

Though 15-year-old superstar Miley Cyrus would appear to have the world in her young hands, the Hannah Montana star says that's just not true.

"Some people think you have more privileges than other teenagers because of what you do," Miley explains to Barbara Walters during her Oscar special. "And that's not it at all. It's actually the opposite."

Is it because her parents, including country-singing dad Billy Ray Cyrus, are too strict? "They're protective for sure," says Miley. "My mom is more strict than my dad." And when it comes to Miley's choice of close pals, her mom likes to occasionally stick her nose into her daughter's business. "You want to keep your close circle of friends," Miley says. "And sometimes my mom is saying, 'I have a bad vibe about this person. She needs to hang out with you when I'm around just to keep you safe.'"

So what's Miley's solution to staying happy and pleasing her mom? "I need more friends. It's kind of like my quest right now just to have more true friends."

Well, Miley, we're sure there are millions of adoring fans willing to line up to apply for the job!

Gossip about a Jonas Brothers / Miley Cyrus feud has been swirling. Twist magazine, reports that tension was more real than ever at recent NYC event. When a reporter asked the JBs a question about Miley, Joe shocked everyone by responding:

"That's a question for Miley, how about a Jonas question?"

Joe was really upset. When the Jonas Brothers started touring solo, people said they were mad that Miley got all of the attention. To top it off, Nick and Miley's relationship went downhill..

..When the JBs were asked about their separate tour from Miley, Kevin responded:

"We wanted to play small, intimate venues instead of big arenas."

Miley Cyrus Is A Terrible Role Model

Consumer Reports (via OK! Magazine) is really, really mad at Hannah Montana. Like they aren't going to text or IM her for at least a week. Yeah, they are pissed! They are angry over a little scene in her new 3D concert movie. No the scene doesn't involve drinking, drugging or sexing! It involves seat belts!

They are calling Miley out for a scene in the movie where she's riding in the back of a Range Rover with her daddy. Neither of them are wearing seat belts. The driver should have hit the breaks really hard and watched the Cyrus' fly! Hey! Every good movie needs an action sequence. They even could have gotten that "stunt Hannah Montana" to do it.

Consumer Reports writes:

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in about 55 percent of passenger vehicle fatalities in 2006 (the latest data available), the occupants were not wearing seat belts. Even worse, in the 13- to 15-year-old age group, that percentage climbs to 65 percent. Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by these grim statistics because a 2002 survey by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety showed that when parents were dropping teens off at school in the morning, nearly half the teens weren’t using seat belts.

It seems to us that Miley, her father, and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract—rather than encourage—this trend. Then again, as Hannah herself sings, "Everybody makes mistakes." Maybe Hannah, Billy and Disney, will take a tip from the rest of Hannah’s song and get it right next time around: "Nobody's Perfect! I gotta work it! Again and again 'til I get it right. Nobody's Perfect!"

Oh snap! They are fucking peeved with lil' Miley. They are even bringing the statistics out. I agree with them, so let's banish Miley for good! Send her to the place where all child stars go....Vh1!

At a studio in Los Angeles, the girls posed with adorable puppies that were on loan from Karma Rescue of Santa Monica, Calif. They named the puppies and wanted to take them home but left empty handed. Food and furry friends brought the conversation to their first impressions of each other when they met on the set of the Disney Channel series.

Miley said, "When we first met, Emily and I were automatically really, really close … every day it's something new for us and when you're with someone all the time, it's more than just being friends; we're sisters now - we love each other like sisters and we fight like sisters." Emily's first impression of Miley was, "'Wow, she's really out there!' Since then she's been a great friend of mine."

Miley spilled the beans on kissing her costar, cutiepie Cody Lindley, who plays Jake Ryan on the show. "It was like the best 10 seconds of my life. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, he's like an angel!' " she says. "At one point they weren't filming anymore, but I made Cody think they were so I could kiss him one more time!"

Miley Cyrus is weighing in on Britney Spears’ bizarre behavior that has lead to losing custody of her children to her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Cyrus says she thinks Spears “needs help” and gives the troubled singer some advice. “I think that she needs help. I I didn’t have [my family], I’d probably be in the same position,” Cyrus tells Extra. “You just got to know who your true friends are, and I think, for me, [that] is my mom. If you have sisters, I mean any girls that you can understand and relate to you, I think it the best.”
