Jessica Simpson heading to Kuwait

Jessica Simpson is heading to Kuwait to entertain Americans in uniform, the actress says on a fan site.

“Hey ya’ll. I just wanted to say hi, and let you know that I am hard at work on my country record, and I can’t wait to share it will all of you,” she said. “I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio.

“I love you all and am so blessed by the support and love you show me everyday!! xoxo jess”

The Kuwait concert will take place on March 10, a source close to the former ‘Newly Weds’ star has revealed.

It won’t be Simpson’s first troop visit - she and then-husband Nick Lachey visited Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where they spent several days as part of a USO-hosted tour in 2005.

And last year — proving she’s a true philanthropist — the singer-turned actress gave generously to an orphanage in Mexico.
“I’m so honored and happy to be able to help,” she said at the time.

Simpson, 26, is currently dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Jessica Simpson is head over heels in love with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo – and close pals say an engagement might be around the corner.

"I think they're going to get married," Romo's close friend of three years, Michael Starr, says in the latest issue of Us Weekly.

Starr's prediction comes on top of Romo's former fling Sophia Bush telling Us, "I think they could go the distance.

"They're perfect for each other," the actress, a mutual friend of Romo and Simpson, added. "They're both funny and wonderful and kind. I'm rooting for them."

Even Simpson's ex, Nick Lachey, has chimed in to add his blessing. "I wish her nothing but happiness," he told Us. "If she's found that... good for her."

The "jinx" rumors apparently aren't keeping Jessica Simpson away from the 2008 Pro Bowl in Hawaii.

KDKA-TV In Pittsburgh captured this picture of celebrity sweethearts Simpson and Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo on his cellphone camera on Monday.

Simpson and Romo were trying to find a quiet spot outside the Ihilani Spa and Resort where many of the players are staying.

Simpson and Romo's relationship caused an uproar at the end of the NFL season after the Cowboys lost to the New York Giants – who, of course, went on to win the Super Bowl.

Romo was accused of having his priorities out of whack and many fans began labeling Simpson a "jinx."

By the way, Romo is expected to be the starting quarterback for the NFC in the Pro Bowl because would-be starter Brett Favre is injured.

Jessica Simpson Sues OK magazine

Jessica Simpson is suing mad after a OK magazine published an article claiming she’s been given the boot by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

The Blonde Ambition star has called in the lawyers over a story – entitled ‘Jessica Dumped!’ - that appeared in the February 4 issue of OK!

The story alleged that Romo had given Jess her marching orders after his team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs.

It also claimed that Jess’s sister Ashlee was also distancing herself from her big sis.

TMZ reports that the mag is in receipt of a letter from Jess’s attorneys denying a split and calling the article “utterly false.”

Her attorneys say the article is part of a "smear campaign" which has subjected straight-to-DVD queen to "public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace."

OK! has been asked to print a “prominent and unambiguous" retraction.

Ashley Tisdale beats Ashlee Simpson by a nose

“High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale has weathered the criticism surrounding her recent nose job quite well, thanks to the fact she hasn’t avoided the topic, and went so far as to talk to People magazine about post-surgery fears.

This has made another member of the rhinoplasty club quite irked: Magazine insiders say Ashlee Simpson is now shopping her story to gossip mags, but it’s too little too late.

“She just should have come clean about it at the beginning, when she was an interesting story. No one cares now — everyone knew Ashlee did it, it was obvious she had a new nose — but she thought being coy would pay off. That is until Ashley (Tisdale) proved that it’s OK to talk about it,” said the insider. (Simpson’s rep says there’s “no truth” to the story.)

Not surprisingly, it’s Simpson’s father, Joe Simpson, who is doing his daughter’s dirty work and placing the calls to sell the story to magazines. “Joe made a huge error in not pulling the trigger sooner. Now his Ashlee has been completely overshadowed by another.”
