Airline sued for cancelling Sienna Miller's flight

A Spanish clothing company is suing a charter airline for failing to deliver actress Sienna Miller – "the face" of its company – to New York City from London for a photo shoot.

In a lawsuit filed on Thursday in Manhattan federal court, Pepe Jeans said it paid Jet Set Private Air Service $US160,000 ($NZ194,000) for a chartered plane that would deliver Sienna Miller, along with the actress' associates, to a New Jersey airport.

Pepe Jeans said that it was in touch with Jet Set "numerous times" to make travel arrangements for the October 7 flight.

But the plane never took off.

Instead, the flight was delayed by six hours, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., the lawsuit said. Miller's group left the airport to eat dinner but when they returned, they were told they could not board the plane because they did not have "the necessary paperwork" to enter the United States, the lawsuit said.

Miller missed the photo shoot and a "replacement model" was hired, the company said.

Jet Set promised to reimburse the clothing company, but never did. A representative at Jet Set said the company did not have an immediate comment.

But I suppose Sienna Miller would love a day off to reimburse her own emotional stress caused by her impatient beau's make-or-break proposal.

"Rhys is fed up with all the secrecy around their relationship and wants to make it a permanent thing," says a source.

"He has asked Sienna to marry him and it's the last time he will ask. He wants everyone to know they are officially an item."

But the champagne remains on ice. "Sienna has yet to make a decision and Rhys can't understand why," adds the source.

"Sienna's always trying to avoid the official relationship topic and is happy to keep it a low-profile affair.

"Rhys has been happy with that but now feels they should decide whether it's going to be long-term or not. They were in Gramercy Park Hotel on Sunday, drinking cognacs with soda.

"Sienna paid - it was as if she had some making up to do."

A spokesperson for Sienna said the pair had both been in New York for work reasons.

"They are all part of his plan for a romantic night in with a mountain of presents.

"Sienna is having a bit of an age crisis, feeling that she hasn't done enough with her life.

"So Rhys, whose philosophy is to live and enjoy every day, has penned a poem about their brilliant future together, all her achievements in life so far and always seizing the moment.

"He is keeping tight-lipped on a proposal but hinted to me that he has had a Welsh designer craft a special ring for her... which can only mean one thing."

The couple have been dating since August this year and were 'outed' as a couple after they were photographed holidaying in Ibiza.

Despite being inseparable, the couple initially insisted they were "just friends" and Rhys was sleeping on Sienna's couch becuse his houseboat was leaky.

The couple took their relationship up a gear earlier this month when they fled to Mexico for a romantic holiday.
