The Spears matriarch, Lynne, is on the verge of a breakdown, it has been claimed. Britney and Jamie Lynn's mother has had enough of her daughters' antics that friends are worried it's all taking a toll on her.
Lynne is said to be talking incoherently and "seems like she's about to have a breakdown" because of the recent two months' events that has happened to both her daughters.
"All her friends are worried about her. She seems to be trying so hard to pull her daughters together, but things seem to be getting worse," a source tells The National Enquirer.
Britney had her custody and visitation rights to her sons taken away by the court, following a meltdown that resulted to an overnight hospital visit. Youngest daughter Jamie Lynn has gotten pregnant at just 16.
Lynne is reportedly blaming herself for believing Jamie Lynn's lie that she wasn't sleeping with boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
"Jamie Lynn told her mom they weren't doing anything, and Lynn didn't push it. Three months later, Jamie Lynn was pregnant. Lynne is kicking herself for not probing more," the source says.
"When she asked Jamie Lynn why she didn't ask for birth control pills, Jamie Lynn said she thought the pill would make her fat."
